Senior Freight Forwarder
helping us to continued growth and success!
Job Description:
- Plan, execute, and follow up on international sea freight shipments (import/export/cross trades) on behalf of Norwegian clients as well shipments from our global network of offices in within deugro group.
- Provide pricing for individual assignments/spot shipments as well participate in larger tender processes.
- Arrange and participate in customer meetings for follow up on both existing- and new target customers.
- Design and propose transport solutions tailored to customer needs with focus on cost, lead-times, reliability and sustainability.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, subcontractors and our global network partners.
- Register assignments, handle invoicing, perform cost control, and complete tasks in CargoWise.
- Manage customs clearance processes.
- Engage in strategic, long-term development with clients and carriers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 – 5 years proven experience from the global container market including handling of special equipment and out of gauge shipments / breakbulk shipments on container vessels.
- MSc/BSc degree in logistics and/or supply chain management
- Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
Personal Skills:
- A genuine passion for customer interaction and delivering outstanding service.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Efficient, organized, and detail oriented.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is required.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with CargoWise is an advantage.
