We are looking for an
Export Ocean Freight Forwarder
to join our team in Oslo.
What You’ll do
- Prepare, handle and process documentation- including house and master ocean waybills, commercial documents, and customs/regulatory documents,
- Take booking requests, ensure bookings are made at current and accurate rates, consolidate and route shipments based on local office procedures.
- Communicate with carriers, origin and destination locations regarding shipment status, special handling and delivery processes, by continuous monitoring the shipment’s path and continuous information of customers.
- Prepare and issue price offers according to the service required; continuously update prices.
- Check and fil incoming invoices related to sea transports, assisting the financial staff.
- Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (shipping company, carriers, trucking companies, and others)
- Monitor the performance of contracts and initiate the enforcement of claims in case of inadequate performance,
- Find and assess new subcontractors and foreign partners, to improve the commercial proposal.
- Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards/satisfaction.
- Be compliance with the company’s internal regulations, especially regarding safety and legality.
Qualifications
- Proved export ocean forwarding skills with min. 3 years working experience on relevant position in International Freight Forwarding Company
- Ability and readiness to adapt to new business environment.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian
- High sense of responsibility and accuracy, ability to persuade.
- Logical thinking, purposefulness
- Ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Air Freight and Trucking would be advantageous.
