Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, trade certification, technical training, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of Mechanical/HVAC or Controls/Automation experience in industrial or commercial environments.
- Experience with building systems such as Fire & Safety, Pumps, Tanks, Piping, Elevators, and Cooling Systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers, HVAC).
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and work safely using platforms, ladders, and PPE (harnesses, fall protection).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience maintaining cooling distribution systems in data centers or similar critical facilities.
- Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and large-scale HVAC equipment.
- Background in hospitals, laboratories, power plants, or other critical environments.
- Knowledge of mechanical and control systems for large-scale facilities.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades.
About the Role
As a Mechanical/HVAC Facilities Technician, you will
- Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical and cooling systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, chillers, pumps, piping, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor control systems and respond to abnormal conditions.
- Support senior technicians with schematics, documentation, and facility assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Assist in commissioning, startup, and turnover of new mechanical systems.
- Respond quickly to emergencies to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
