We have an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager/Business Developer to support DHL Supply Chain’s (DSC) growth & renewal agenda and to drive our business and transformational growth agenda in Hvam and Vestby.

This important role will be responsible for developing and maintaining dedicated accounts on a Norwegian level. Key focus is to understand the customer’s business challenges and priorities in order to create value and develop the account. You will identify potential business opportunities and work close cooperation with operations teams to ensure quality and improve performance. We want to be our customer’s first choice when it comes to tailored solutions and this role is a big part of maintaining and achieving that goal. The position will be based in Vestby and Hvam but travelling within the Nordics is required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Present solution proposal and business fit to decision makers, engage in negotiations and close the deal
  • Conduct research within the strategically prioritized areas, and target accounts within Norway to identify potential areas for business opportunities
  • Develop and leverage constructive relationships within assigned accounts and act as key contact for assigned customers.
  • Maintain access to key decision makers and develop strategies to increase sales penetration and profits in assigned accounts.
  • Identify business opportunities and match them with DHL’s services.
  • Grow the share of wallet with the customer portfolio allocated.
  • Manage the renewal agenda for several customers.
  • Coordinate the accounts and ensure quality of delivered services.
  • Partner with Nordic and regional management teams to coordinate customer requests, identify improvement areas and drive innovative solutions for our customers.
  • Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, Operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input and coordinate actions.
  • Identify DSC’s value proposition and high level solution parameters based on customer requirements.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.
  • Commercial experience preferably from the logistics industry.
  • Operational background or understanding is highly preferable.
  • Experience within Solution Design.
  • Excellent in Norwegian and English skills to read, write and speak.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives.
  • Good experience of leadership.
  • Creative and innovative thinking in bringing successful resolutions to high impact and complex problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive sales culture.
  • The role is based in Vestby/Hvam.
